বিবাহিত জীবনে কখনো ঝগড়া হয়নি এমন দম্পতি খুঁজে পাওয়া কঠিন। তবে দাম্পত্য কলহের পর স্ত্রী বাপের বাড়ি গেলেও পিতৃতান্ত্রিক সমাজে দরিদ্র স্বামীর বাপের বাড়ি যাওয়ার তেমন সুযোগ থাকে না। তাই রাগের মাথায় তাল গাছের মাথায় উঠেছে এক ব্যক্তি। এমনকি একদিন, দুই দিন নয়, এক মাস ধরে ৮০ ফুট উঁচু তালগাছে অবস্থান করছেন তিনি।

প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, রাম প্রভাস (৪২) প্রায়ই স্ত্রীর সঙ্গে ঝগড়া করতেন। দাম্পত্য কলহ চরম আকার ধারণ করলে তিনি একদিন তালগাছের চূড়ায় উঠতে বাধ্য হন। প্রায় এক মাস ধরে সেখানে দিন-রাত কাটাচ্ছেন তিনি। দড়ির সাহায্যে তালগাছের চূড়ায় খাবার ও পানি পৌঁছে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। তবে গ্রামবাসীরা রাম প্রভাসের ৮০ ফুট লম্বা তাল গাছে বসবাস করায় মোটেও সন্তুষ্ট নন। এ ধরনের কর্মকাণ্ড মানুষের গোপনীয়তার জন্য ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ বলে অভিযোগ করেন তারা।

 এ ব্যাপারে স্থানীয়রা জানায়, লোকজন তাদের বাড়িতে কী করছে সেদিকে নজর রাখে। গ্রামের অনেক মহিলা এসে আমাদের কাছে অভিযোগ করেছেন যে, তাদের গোপনীয়তা লঙ্ঘন করা হচ্ছে। আমরা বিষয়টি পুলিশকে জানালে তারা এসে ভিডিওটি নিয়ে চলে যায়।
